La Marmotte Training Weeks

We provide 2 prep weeks a year for the La Marmotte sportive. For more information please contact us below. If you are a group of 5 or more and would like to tackle La Marmotte route over 1 2 or 3 days the please contact us. We also provide accommodation and transportation for the Challenge du Dauphiné Vercors over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd May 2010. This event is ideal preparation for La Marmotte over a similar distance but with less climbing and smaller cols.

The week consists of the following. (5th June 2010week includes watching the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré)

• Day 1 - Warm up ride in the area approx 80KM
• Day 2 - Col du Glandon and Col du Telegraphe - supported in minibus with picnic lunch provided. Stay in Valloire on a bed and breakfast basis
• Day 3 - Start from Valloire and ride the Col du Galibier and descend back to Bourg d'Oisans via the Col du Lautaret where you can also complete the ride with the climb up Alpe d'Huez
• Day 4 - Free Day our day off.
• Day 5 - Local ride approximately 80-100km
• Day 6 - Local ride approximately 80-100km (JUNE ONLY ride near Grenoble to watch Dauphiné Libéré)
• Day 7 (JUNE ONLY watch Alpe d'Huez stage of Dauphiné Libéré)

The price for the week is £450GBP (£505GBP for extra night to watch Dauphiné Libéré) per person and includes bed and breakfast in a shared room, after ride pasta or lunch, garage and workshop for bikes, free leg massage, use of the lounge area and ride support. We can also offer the same holiday for large groups (5 or more) depending on our availability at any time of the year. Shorter stays are also welcome departing on Day 4 or 5 and are charged at £70GBP per person per night
